Wood, P.G., 1972. THE BEHAVIOUR OF PEOPLE IN FIRES. Fire Research Notes 953
ABSTRACT
Under a contract from the Fire Research Station a study has been made of the behaviour of people in fires, using as a main data source a questionnaire administered by Fire Brigade Officers at the scenes of fires. A general analysis has been made of the things people did and more intensive studies have been made of two aspects, evacuation of the building and movement through smoke. A summary of the main findings is given on pages 2-5.
