Palmer, K.N. and Rogowski, Z.W., 1969. THE PROTECTION OF EQUIPMENT WITH FLAME ARRESTERS, EFFECT OF VARIATION OF GAS COMPOSITION AND CONTENTS. Fire Research Notes 784

ABSTRACT

Further evaluation has been made of performance data for the use of flame arresters for protection of electrical equipment. a correlation is presented between the fundamental burning velocity of the flammable mixture and the maximum explosion pressure for both propane-air or ethylene-air mixtures. The effect of contents of various vessels on the maximum explosion pressures developed was studied.
