ABSTRACT

This note describes the apparatus and procedure for testing suspensions of industrial dusts in air for explosibility. The explosibility is expressed in terms of a standard classification which is also given. The testing of dusts is carried out on behalf of the Factory Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour, and had previously been undertaken at the Safety in Mines Research Establishment, Buxton.
